I love my crock pot! There are so many things that you can cook in it and not to mention how easy they are to use. I received my first crock pot as a wedding gift. Since then, I have gotten two larger sized crock pots. At times, I have actually had all three of them going at the same time.

Tonight, I decided that I was going to make some baked beans and just let them cook overnight.  The recipe that I used came out of “Mable Hoffman’s Crockery Cooking” cookbook. There is no need to soak or precook the beans for this recipe.  Just throw everything into the crock pot and let it cook for a long time.  It took me less than 5 minutes to assemble.

Tomorrow morning, I am going to being cooking my other favorite recipe for crock pot: chicken thighs.  This recipe is so easy that I never need to write down.

No Need For A Recipe Chicken Thighs
Chicken thighs or breasts
Soy sauce
Italian dressing

Mix together equal parts of soy sauce and Italian dressing. I use 1/3 of a cup of each.  Place chicken inside of your crock pot and pour sauce over it.  Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until cooked through. You can also cook this on high for 4-5 hours.  If you don’t want to wait that long for your crock pot, you can cook these in your oven or on the grill.  If you choose to cook these any other way than the crock pot, you may want to marinate these overnight so the chicken can absorb the flavors.
