Do You Love Peanut Butter and Chocolate? Try this!

This cake looks like a professional made it and yet it is so easy to assemble.
Ingredients
  • 2 9" round chocolate cakes
  • 1 bag Reeseā€™s peanut butter cups (the miniature kind) (keep stored in refrigerator)
  • Peanut Butter Frosting:
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¾ cup butter, softened
  • 1½ tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
Instructions
  1. Frosting:
  2. With mixer, beat butter until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add peanut butter, vanilla and salt. Mix until smooth.
  4. Add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time. Mixing well after each cup.
  5. Slowly add milk and mix slowly, adding more milk until desired consistency is reached.
  6. Assembling the cake:
  7. Level cakes if necessary.
  8. Frost the top of the first cake, then add second cake to top of frosted cake.
  9. Frost the top and sides.
  10. Unwrap Reese's peanut butter cups and cut in half. They are easier to cut if they have been chilled.
  11. Place halves of peanut butter cups around the base and top of the cake.
  12. Coarsely chop 4-6 peanut butter cups.
  13. Sprinkle over the top of the cake.
  14. Enjoy!
