I’ve decided that I am a foodie. I love saving money through cooking my own food and love cooking with whole foods.  My neighbor somewhat shares my passion for food and passed this recipe on to me. Frequently, we will share a small amount of recent food that we have cooked so we can taste each other’s cooking and try new recipes.  She had found the recipe below and let me try a piece of the cooked pork she had made. All I can say is “WOW”. I absolutely loved it and what it did to an inexpensive cut of meat.

I hope you will consider trying this recipe as I am giving it a five rating. You can find the original recipe here.

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast

  • 1 1/4 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 (3 pound) sirloin tip roast (I used pork sirloin roast)
    1. In a small bowl, mix the paprika, kosher salt, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, and thyme. Stir in the olive oil, and allow the mixture to sit about 15 minutes. I spread this mixture all over the roast and wrapped it with plastic wrap and refrigerated it until I was ready to bake it.
    2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
    3. Place the roast on the prepared baking sheet.
    4. Roast 1 to 1 1/2 hours in the preheated oven, or to a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Let sit 15 minutes before slicing.
