Crockpot Sausage, Peppers and Onions

This easy meal is a staple in our home and makes an outstanding freezer meal in the fall, when I have an abundance of garden fresh bell peppers.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 lbs hot or mild sausage links
  • 4 green peppers (any color works)
  • 2 large onions sliced into rings
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes optional

Instructions

  1. Slice your peppers and onions and place inside your slow cooker

  2. Top with your sausage links and canned tomatoes, if using

  3. Allow to cook 4-6 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low until sausage is tender

  4. Slice sausage into rounds and serve on top of a bed of spaghetti
