Today is Day 6 of the our project. We wanted to get the counter top laid and in along with the sink, but when Art went down to Friends Lumber this AM, they were closed for the day. They are normally open on Saturdays from 7:30am-2pm. I’m a little bit disappointed since I currently have no water downstairs.
On Thursday we ended up picking out some Formica laminate for our counters. It was a fraction of the cost of granite. The granite we were quoted at being anywere from $50-$80 a square foot. Making the cost around $4500.00 for the counters versus $3.00 a square foot for the Formica.
