Not a whole lot of visible progress was made today. The wall by kitchen sink has been taped and holes filled. They are also working on laying the new wood floor. But the orginal floor was so unlevel, that they have had to put in huge shims to make the new floor level.
I went to Sherman Tile Associates today and looked at tile for the backsplash behind the sink and the stove. They were extremely helpful and gave me some samples to bring home and try out to see how well they matched. Silly me, I forgot to bring a sample of the countertop with me so I will need to go back tomorrow to order what I need. If you have any suggestions or pictures you would like to share, please do. I’m looking for ideas for patterns for the back splash.
