My family really enjoys this recipe for wheat bread. In the past when I have made wheat bread, it usually just comes out very dense and just lacking any flavor. But this recipe is such a wonderful change to that. It uses honey instead of sugar (a huge plus in my mind) and contains very little fat.  This is wonderful toasted or sliced for sandwiches. Enjoy!

Honey Wheat Bread
1 cup warm water
1 Tbsp yeast
1 Tbsp melted butter
2 tsp salt
3 Tbsp honey
1 cup white flour
2-3 cups wheat flour (The finer the grind, the better)

In mixer with dough paddle, add water, yeast, butter, salt, honey and white flour.  Mix on speed two for about 30 seconds. Add wheat flour one cup at a time until dough pulls together and forms a soft, but not sticky dough. Cover dough and allow to rise about 1 hour or until double. Punch down, shape and place in greased loaf pans. Let rise again until dough is about 1/2″-1″ about loaf pan. Bake in preheated 350F oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown and it sounds hollow when you knock the top of it. Allow to cool before slicing.
