I make these for when I’m in labor or just after I have a baby. They have lots of good-for-you ingredients and give me the energy I need.

No-Bake Chock-Full Granola Bars

These are so easy to assemble and taste so yummy and are fully of whole ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats, lightly chopped in food processor
  • 2 cups rice crispy cereal
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4-1/2 cup old-fashion peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup Milanaise (9 cracked grain mix) Contains cracked hard wheat, cracked corn, cracked barley, cracked rye, cracked millet, cracked brown flax seeds, cracked steel-cut oats, whole sesame seeds, hulled sunflower seeds
  • 1/3 cup toasted sunflower seed hearts, chopped
  • 3 handfuls toasted raw almonds, lightly chopped
  • 1/4 cup ground flax seeds

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, add oats, rice cereal, Milanaise, sunflower seeds, chopped almonds and ground flax seed.

  2. In a microwave safe bowl, add sugar, butter, molasses and honey. Microwave until butter is fully melted and starting to boil. Mix well.

  3. Add peanut, salt and vanilla extract. Stir and return to microwave for another 1-2 minutes until rolling boil.

  4. Pour sugar mixture over dry ingredients and stir to coat well.

  5. Press firmly into a 9×13 pan so everything sticks together well.

  6. Top with mini-chocolate chips if desired. Cool in refrigerator and cut into bars when cold.

  7. Can be frozen for several months in sealed container.
