I’m happy to report that the chicks have grown so well that they had to finally be moved out to the coop. 🙁  I have to say that I was happy to see them grow, but was very sad to see them leave.  I know, they are only two houses away, but it isn’t the same as having them right here in the house.  Every morning, the first thing I would do is check the chicks and say good morning.  I would talk to them all the time and just hang out with them. Who knew that I could get so attached to just some little birds. 🙁

Anyways, they are happy in their new home and I hope to get some pictures of them in the next day or two.  The all white chick (Jif) has a TON of white feathers and is so beautiful. Gimpie is turning this beautiful brown/red color. I’m not 100% sure, but I believe we have three hens and one rooster.

So, after seven weeks of starting this whole process, the chicks are now pretty much on their own.  For anyone interested in doing this themselves, I would say go for it!  I have had a blast and the only down side to it is how attached you can get to the chicks. But, if you are going to just keep them for yourself, then you will be all right.
