This is a guest posting by my husband.

A few weeks ago I said in a blog posting that I was going to do an experiment to find out how hard and time consuming it is to make bread. I was hoping to do this experiment right after the birth of my daughter, but as you may have guessed, things have been quite busy and I am now just getting back to writing about it.

This is how the “Great Bread Experiment” has gone so far. Right after my daughter was born, I made two loaves of bread. Then we started getting meals from people at church like they always do to help those who have just had a baby. After the meals started coming, I did not want to make bread because we had a sufficient amout of food and I did not want any of it to go bad.

Conclusion (so far):
It is easier to make bread than it is to find time to blog.

I hope to continue the “Great Bread Experiment” in another week or two.

  1. I love making homemade bread. I was so intimidated at first, with the yeast and kneading and everything. Once you do it a couple times it becomes easier. I usually try to make whole wheat though, which is a little trickier b/c of the gluten issue. Good Luck when you start making it again!
