4 Loaves Fast and Easy Multigrain Sandwich Bread

Save time by baking this extra large batch of bread. This recipe makes 4 extra large loaves. Perfect for freezing and later use.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups warm water
  • 2 Tbsp active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup sugar you can use honey instead if you desire
  • 2 Tbsp salt
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 18-21 cups white, unbleached, all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Milanaise cracked grain mix optional

Instructions

  1. Place all of the ingredients, only using 12 cups of flour in a VERY large mixing bowl and mix using a dough whisk.

  2. Mix well by hand, adding more flour as needed until dough can no longer be mixed by hand.

  3. Turn onto a well floured surface and knead for 10-12 minutes. The dough should be soft but not sticky.

  4. Divide dough into four equal pieces and shape into loaves.

  5. Place is well greased 11" x 4-1/2" x 2-3/4" or similar size pan.

  6. Cover and allow bread to rise until doubled or until the dough is just beginning to crest the top of the loaf pan.

  7. Bake in preheated 350°F oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and it sounds hollow when you tap the top of it.

  8. Remove from pan and cool.
