Homemade Creamy French Salad Dressing

I made this today after getting my $.25 a bag of salad.  I can’t say that this is really any cheaper than Wish-Bone, but it doesn’t have preservatives and is much better for you. The flavor of this is awesome. I used just a regular onion with this, but it does make it have a little bite to it, so you may only want to use 1/2 of the onion.

Creamy French Dressing

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 apple cider vinegar
1/4-1/2 cup sugar
1 small sweet onion, cut into wedges
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup olive oil

In a blender, add mayonnaise, ketchup, vinegar, sugar and onion. Cover and process until smooth. While processing, slowly add oil. Chill for 1 hr before serving to let the onion flavor mellow.
