Today was a day of lots of progress in the incubator.  Our first chick to have pecked a hole in its shell is still working on escaping.  However, around 8am, another chick cracked it’s shell. Then another chick did the same thing around 1pm.  The one at 1pm was our fastest chick to emerge from his shell. He hatched around 5:30pm.

We went to out to dinner and when we got home, much to our surprise a 2nd chick had completely hatched.  So, we currently have two completely hatched chicks, one chick still working on the shell and another shell is getting pecked at.

The two chicks that are out and becoming very noisy with all of their chirping.  Here is a video that I took when only the one chick had hatched.

Stay tuned for another update tomorrow.  Follow me on Twitter and Facebook for more frequently updates.
