SPICY Boston Butt Pulled Pork

Ingredients

Spicy Rub

  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp celery salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp thyme

Roast Ingredients

  • 3-4 pound Boston Butt pork roast
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 Tbsp liquid hickory smoke

Instructions

  1. Make spice rub and rub all over the pork roast

  2. Rub liquid smoke into roast

  3. In a lightly greased baking dish, place sliced onion on bottom of pan. Add water and bay leaves. Place pork on top of the onions and water.

  4. Bake in preheated 350°F oven for 3-4 hours or until internal temperature is at least 170°F

  5. Allow meat to rest at least 10 minutes before slicing

  6. Serve on a homemade roll and top with the onions and a sweet barbecue sauce
